What this session covers
AI has made content cheap to produce. Keeping it accurate, governed and useful has become the hard part. Most content operations are still organized around output: how fast, how many, at what cost. The questions that matter now are where value is created, where it leaks, and whether it builds up over time.
In this session I'll walk through the ideas behind my book The Content Value Chain:
- —why the content supply chain model no longer covers what content teams are asked to do
- —the layers of a content value chain system and how they depend on each other
- —why digital asset management is the system's memory of what was approved, and what it takes to turn that memory into reliable context that AI agents can read
- —the Variant Ledger: how a system keeps a record of what it decided, in which context, why, and what happened, so it can learn instead of only measure
Guest speakers join me to talk about what enterprise customers now ask of their DAM, and where content meets commerce. There's time for your questions.

A framework, not another playbook
Generative AI has removed the old constraint of content production. The new constraint is alignment — keeping content accurate, governed, consistent, reusable, traceable, and connected to reality as volume and variation increase.
The Content Value Chain is the operating model through which organizational knowledge becomes market-facing experience.
