Content Value Chain

Privacy notice

Last updated: 27 October 2026

This notice explains what personal details I collect through contentvaluechain.ai, why, who else handles them, and what you can ask me to do with them. It covers report sign-ups, webinar registrations, and the cookies and analytics on this website.

Who I am

This website is run by Michael Klazema, Nunspeet, the Netherlands. I'm responsible for the personal details described here. If you have a question or a request about your data, email me at michael@klazema.com.

1. Report sign-ups

What I collect. When you sign up to open a report, I collect your email address, your name and your answers to the questions on the form, such as which platforms you use.

Why. To give you access to the reports, to send you occasional updates about the Content Value Chain, such as new reports, articles and the book, and to understand which platforms readers work with, so I know which vendors and questions to cover in future reports.

Legal basis. Your consent, given when you submit the form. You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in any email, or by emailing me. Unsubscribing doesn't take away your access to the reports.

Who handles it. The sign-up form and the email list run on Kit (Kit.com, United States), which stores the details for me. Kit processes them on my instructions only.

How long. Until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete them, and no longer than 24 months after your last contact with me, such as opening an email or signing up for another report.

2. Webinar registrations

What I collect. When you register for a webinar, I collect your name, business email address, company, job title and country, and the answer to "How did you hear about this webinar?" During the webinar the platform also records whether you attended, how long you stayed, and any questions or poll answers you submit.

Why. To send you the joining link, reminders and the recording, to run the session, and to understand which invitations worked.

Legal basis. For registration, reminders and the recording: providing the webinar you registered for. For anything optional, such as sharing your details with a webinar partner or receiving my updates: your consent, given by ticking the box for it. Those boxes are never ticked in advance.

Who handles it. Webinars run on Zoho Webinar (Zoho Corporation). My account uses Zoho's EU data centre. Zoho processes the details on my instructions only.

Webinar partners. Some webinars are run with a partner. The registration form names each partner who would receive your details, and they receive them only if you tick the box for that partner. If you do, the partner receives your name, email, company, job title, country and whether you attended, within three business days after the webinar, and from then on uses them under its own privacy notice. If you don't tick the box, nothing is shared with the partner.

The webinar on 8 December 2026 is run with Sharedien AG, Wallisellen, Switzerland. Sharedien receives your details only if you tick the Sharedien box on the registration form.

Recordings. Webinars are recorded. The recording is sent to everyone who registered and may be published or shared with the webinar partner. Your name may appear if you ask a question in the Q&A or chat. If you'd rather not be named, leave your name out of your question.

How long. I delete registration and attendance details 24 months after the webinar.

3. Cookies and analytics

Report access. When you unlock the reports, this website saves a small marker in your browser's local storage, so that you keep access to all reports on that device without signing up again. It doesn't contain your name or email address and isn't used to follow you around the web. It's needed for the service you asked for, so it's saved without a separate cookie question. You can remove it by clearing your browser's site data for contentvaluechain.ai; you'll then need to sign up again to open the reports.

Hosting. The site is built and hosted on Lovable. Its hosting sets one technical cookie that is needed to serve the site to you. It isn't used for analytics or advertising.

Analytics. This website uses Lovable's built-in analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. Each visit gets a random identifier that is discarded when the visit ends, so the analytics count visits, not people, and don't follow you across visits. The data stays with Lovable and isn't passed to an outside analytics service. I use the figures only in combined form, to improve the site. I don't use advertising cookies or tracking from social networks.

Forms. The report sign-up form is provided by Kit, and the webinar registration form by Zoho. Each may set its own cookies when you use it.

Transfers outside the European Economic Area

Kit, Inc. stores data in the United States. That transfer relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, which are part of Kit's data processing agreement. Sharedien is in Switzerland, which the European Commission recognizes as giving adequate protection.

What I don't do

I don't sell your details. I don't add you to a list you didn't sign up for. I don't share your details with anyone other than the services named above and the webinar partners you agreed to.

Your rights

You can ask me to:

  • show you the personal details I hold about you
  • correct them
  • delete them
  • stop using them for a particular purpose, or withdraw consent you gave
  • give you a copy in a common format

Email michael@klazema.com. I'll reply within one month. If you're not satisfied with my answer, you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl), or to the authority in the country where you live.

Changes

If I change how I handle personal details, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
